CELLIM Microscopy Picture Contest – 2025


We are excited to invite you to the sixth annual Microscopy Picture Contest, organised by the Cellular Imaging Core Facility of CEITEC MU (CELLIM). If you have captured a remarkable image using our microscopes in 2025, this is your chance to showcase your work and win fantastic prizes! This year, the grand prize is a pair of GoPro HERO13 Black, generously sponsored by Carl Zeiss spol. s r.o.


Eligibility

The contest is open exclusively to CELLIM users. To qualify, images must have been acquired on a CELLIM microscope during the year 2025. Each participant may submit one image only. By entering the contest, you confirm that you are the sole author of the submitted image.


Submission Guidelines

Deadline: Submit your entry by email to cellim@ceitec.muni.cz no later than January 23, 2026.
File Formats: Images must be in JPEG or PNG format. For selected entries, we will request the raw image file to create high-quality prints for posters.
Email Subject: Include “CELLIM Microscopy Picture Contest 2025” in the subject line.
Details to Provide:

  • First name and surname
  • Research group affiliation and institute
  • Status (e.g., student, postdoc)
  • Brief description of the image
  • Name of the microscope used

Winner Selection

The CELLIM team will select six finalists, whose images will be posted for public voting on Strawpoll (https://strawpoll.com). Voting will remain open for seven days, and the image with the most votes will win the contest.

Usage Rights

By entering the contest, participants grant the organisers the right to use and publish submitted images on CELLIM and Zeiss social media platforms. Images may also be printed and utilised for promotional purposes by CELLIM and Carl Zeiss. The authorship of the images will always be credited, and participants ensure that their submissions are free of third-party rights.
